About us

We are a caring business couple, dedicated parents to two wonderful young adults, and proud owners of a lively and lovable dog - Indigo. Our passion lies in creating unforgettable holiday experiences for people in the picturesque landscapes of the Cotswolds.

With a strong commitment to hospitality, we have carved a niche for ourselves in the travel industry by offering personalized and immersive vacation opportunities. Our journey began with a shared love for the Cotswolds' natural beauty, historic charm, and serene ambiance by purchasing Pike House. As seasoned travellers ourselves, we understand the importance of a well-curated holiday that caters to diverse interests and preferences.

As parents, we know the significance of family bonding and relaxation. We have crafted our services to ensure that families, couples, and individuals can escape the demands of their daily lives and immerse themselves in the Cotswolds' enchanting scenery. Whether it's exploring quaint villages, embarking on scenic hikes, indulging in local culinary delights, or simply unwinding in cozy accommodations, we strive to provide a holistic holiday experience.

Our furry companion and our beloved dog, is an integral part of our family and adds an extra layer of warmth and joy to our stays and we want to extend that to our guests. We understand that pets are cherished family members too, and we extend our hospitality to well-behaved four-legged friends, ensuring they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay alongside their human companions.

With a genuine passion for hospitality, a deep appreciation for the Cotswolds, and a heartfelt desire to help people create cherished memories, we are more than just business owners. We are memory-makers and facilitators of joy for those seeking respite in the idyllic landscapes of the Cotswolds. Our mission is to make every moment of our guests' holidays special, meaningful, and truly unforgettable.

Whilst the cottage has a tributary of the River Thames running alongside it, the cottage doesn't have lake access or view from the property. If you are staying in the rear master bedroom and the autumn leaves have fallen, Somerford Lagoon is clearly visible from the balcony.

Seasonal Closures:

Somerford Lagoon Lake is closed from October to March due to nesting birds.

The nearest canoe launch point is located near Mill Village as marked on the Estate Map.

The outdoor Mill Village pool closes after the October half term and does not re-open until Easter.

The Miss Mouse Trail, run by the Activity Hub closes for the winter months. This is from 1st November to the Easter holidays.

Whilst the pizza shack & coffee hut operate a reduced service during off peak periods, the main clubhouse - Ballihoo restaurant still serves food and drinks throughout the seasons.
